Compassionate Spiritual Care Through Loss and Life’s Transitions

Grief rarely follows a straight line. It can arrive quietly, suddenly, or in waves that come and go without warning. It may arise after the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, changes in health, loss of purpose, anticipatory grief, or life transitions that leave us feeling uncertain or disconnected.

Sometimes what people need most is not advice or someone trying to fix the pain. Sometimes they simply need a safe place to be heard.

Soft, peaceful image representing grief and bereavement support

At Gaia Natural Therapies, I offer compassionate grief and bereavement support grounded in presence, deep listening, and respect for your personal experience. Drawing from my background in spiritual care, ministry, and holistic practice, I provide a gentle, non-judgmental space where you can speak openly, sit quietly, reflect, or simply be with what is present without pressure or expectation.

You do not need to be spiritual or follow any particular belief system to receive support. My role is not to guide your beliefs, but to honour your experience and walk beside you in a way that respects your values and your unique path.

Grief is deeply personal. There is no timeline to follow and no “right way” to move through it.

My role is not to tell you how to grieve or how long healing should take. My role is to help create space for awareness, understanding, and connection during a time that can often feel overwhelming or isolating.

Support May Include

• Compassionate listening and emotional support
• Spiritual care and exploration of meaning
• Support through grief, loss, and life transitions
• Space to process anticipatory grief and caregiver stress
• Gentle grounding and relaxation practices when appropriate
• Reflective conversation and self-awareness practices
• Support for caregivers and family members navigating loss

Sessions are client-led and may involve conversation, quiet reflection, silence, or gentle practices that support grounding and emotional well-being. There is no expectation to share more than feels comfortable.

• Loss of a loved one
• Anticipatory grief before a death or major life change
• Pet loss
• Separation or relationship loss

A Gentle Note

Grief and bereavement support is offered from a holistic and spiritual care perspective and does not replace medical care, psychological services, or crisis support. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you are experiencing severe emotional distress or are in crisis, please seek immediate support through emergency or mental health services.

You Do Not Have to Walk Through Grief Alone

There is no expectation to be strong, have answers, or know what comes next.

Sometimes healing begins by allowing yourself to be supported.

Support is available in person in Nanaimo and Nanoose Bay, virtually when appropriate, and home support may be available when needed. During times of grief, even leaving home can sometimes feel overwhelming, and support should meet you where you are, in a way that feels comfortable, compassionate, and supportive.
